NSW languages

Darug, Dharawal, Gundungurra and Darginung languages were traditionally spoken in the Greater Sydney region. In NSW today, the most common languages still spoken are Wiradjuri, in central NSW, and Gamilaraay, in western NSW. While none of these languages are widely spoken, significant steps are being taken to revitalise them.
